New to fishing the Exe...is there a "Go to" salmon fly? Normally fish bigger rivers so would be most grateful for any advice on pattern/size for this time of year. I'm fishing in the Upexe area.
Many thanks

I've always done well with a Snaelda and a monkey, but then that's mainly all I use! .25" copper tube Snaelda, I get the Pot bellied Munro's killer and T&L from Salar flies, does it in lower water, RS Supersnaelda in Red and Gold in higher water and a monkey at any time.
