I have an invite to the Ardoe beat in early August and was wondering if any of you locals can reccomend some fly patterns
I will be taking allys shrimp /cascade /stotes tail etc but would like a little

The above will all do you, but make sure they're small! (Even down to 14/16s)

Hitch tube would be well worth a go as would stripping a Sunray.

Your most like;y to be targetting running fish down at Ardoe

Size - anything from a sie 16 to a 2 inch tube (even longer if a Sunray). Starting with smaller flies (depending on the water) but not being afraid to try bigger flies if nothing doing.

Thanks all I am really looking forward to my trip i will tie a few sunray on an inch ally tube to add to my box
All the best Natt
Get them tied on plastic tubes Natt, your gonna want them up near the surface at this time of year (unless you encounter BIG water)

Tight lines for your trip!
