This is the second one down from the top, and using the recommended line weight. 10 weight rod.

When people recommend these rods online I almost shake in disbelief. I had 2 Oracles, a 12'6 and the 11 #8 switch outfit. In fairness the 12'6 was a cracking rod and suited all of my needs here in NW Ireland but I cannot say the same for the 11 switch. Deary me it was so brittle I was scared fishing with it. It lacked so much power when playing fish, having to play fish to exhaustion to gain control over them.

Ultimately, I was setting up for my first cast of the day one afternoon and after the forward stroke, snap! The tip of the rod collapsed into itself and broke cleanly at the top.I was out in the middle of nowhere and had no choice but to fish on. Luckily enough, I managed to land a good fish considering the malfunction.

But for an £80 rod what do we expect?

I have since upgraded and own two new switch rods. I've the LTS Switch 11' #8 and I have the LTS Dynamic 11' #8 and don't look back
