Backing "sliding" on Hardy Cascapedia reel

Another vote for the electrical tape here. Tie on as normal, wind on a few turns. Cover the lot in a layer or two of tape, crack on. Use the same approach with the sea gear, FS and Multiplier when using braid, it does not fail and they are put under way more pressure in general use than a fly reel would.

Wrap the backing round the spindle a few times then knot it.
It won’t slip, I’ve had to do that on the Cascapedia reels I’ve previously had.
