Many years ago I was a member of Axe Fly Fishers before moving to Scotland. Is the club still in operation and if so does anybody have contact details.

Very long waiting list. Go on the Taunton Fly Fishers website . They have lots of water in the area including some beats on the Axe . There is a good private stretch below Axminster located at Lower Abbegate Farm . Give them a ring . They sell day tickets for about a tenner . I have lost the number so can’t help in that respect. There are good sea trout and occasional salmon caught there every season.
