Hello gents, just wondering if many of you have fished this beat? Looking to spend a day up there with a couple guys that really don't do a lot of wade and cast fishing....more fisheries type. Would this be suitable for them?

Thanks, Jim.

Nope.

Its nearly all wading if you are not in the boat and the upper part of it is tricky and you need to be able to speycast with very little room behind you. Some of it is also fished from a boat, either rowed or roped.

Thanks Zep,
Sounds like the ticket for myself. One of the guys I'll be with spent some time on the Tay with a hired spey rod and had a great time, the other guy with us would probably prefer the boat to be honest.
Out of quriosity what would the preferred rod length be for this beat? and would different density heads be good for the river in this beat?

Thanks again, Jim.
