Frodin has caught more big fish than many of us have even seen, so if he says it is 23/24 kilos (51-53 lbs) I wouldn’t argue.

I did however put figures of 113cm for length (10cm deducted for the kype) and 75cm for girth into the attached fish calculator and the one that takes account of girth shows a reading approaching 59 lbs although using length only it shows only 37 lbs. So short of weighing we can’t do any better.

Head shots, especially with a wide angled lense/phone always give an exaggerated view of the head, but even so, that is one huge fish, immense girth, looks every ounce of a potential 50lb + fish, awesome!

That could easily be 50 lb - just look at the depth of the fish compared to the width of his shoulders. Simply huge - what a fantastic fish - incredible and good to know fish like this still swim up rivers.
