Great stuff Canewizard - it's not as easy and quick as people think to pull together an SBS - so I definitely appreciate you taking the time. Cheers, Patrick

Biggest compliment I can pay about the whole article which I have only just seen is that it has inspired me to get off my **** and tie some of these. Lovely fly.
    Thanks

    Materials:

    Rib/Butt: UTC ultrawire red
    Rear body: Green glitterbody
    Green Highlander hen hackle
Wing: Fluo red&yellow bucktail, green supreme goat, green angelhair
Front body: neon chartreuse uni floss
    Fronthackle: orange&yellow cock
    Head: Globrite 12

Start your thread 2-3 mm from the eye and catch wire underneath

4 turns of wire for a butt. I then go forward between the shanks and secure. Tie in glitterbody/floss (cut waste the length of the body), wind it on and rib.

Tie in green hackle. I go two turns.

Mix and line up bucktail (I do it by hand) and tie it in. Cut waste at an angle. Moistening helps to see shape/contour.

Next the goat and angelhair (6 strands doubled), both slightly longer than the bucktail, taper the angelhair.

Tie in floss for frontbody and wind on. I don't rib. Maybe I should.

    Double your hackles. That's crucial...

Place em on top of each other, tie in and give one full turn.

Cut off the yellow hackle and go one more orange turn.

Form a head, tie in floss and wind it on, slowly but surely. I forgot to say, that I fold hackletips and in this case the globrite back after tying it in, to better secure it.

Varnish (one more layer in this case), let dry and catch a few 😉

    Tight lines 😎
Can I have 3 of them please
