    I fish a 12ft & 12ft 2 loop rods on my local river with short shooting heads & I can cast over 100ft if needed. Are you new to spey casting? If you are then you need to get someone to look at your set up & possibly pay for casting lessons. That rod set up correctly should be throwing 100ft...

    Fluorocarbon Recommendations.

    Watch your knots with flouro. I normally use a rapala knot for my dressed doubles but don’t double tuck your flouro as I’ve found that’s when the breakages happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Scandi lines easier to cast than traditional spey lines. Some of the purists will state that you must learn to use spey lines but I’m more of the leaning that if we get more anglers fishing with a scandi then it’s a good thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
