Chris, the more I look at it the more I think its actually a 4560 or 4580 which was the successor to the 2560/80. Id need to see the front of it to confirm though. The number should be stamped on it though unless its worn off.

If its 100mm diameter then its a Sage 2580. If its smaller then its a 2560.

Theyre actually not 50/50. According to the last fortnights polls, ‘Yes’ is faltering, now down in the mid 40’s. Probably for 2 reasons - people dont want another referendum just now, and people dont want to rejoin the EU......although clearly you desperately wish that to be untrue(you evidently...

You’ve had some pretty woeful posts on here Fruin but the naivety in this one is utterly breathtaking. You do yourself no favours.

Correct, it was established in 1969, not 1965....which the article says. But its the National, so we’ll let it off. The idea of establishing the institute was in 1968.

Fact Checking Service?.....like the fact the author cant even get right in the preamble the date the IFS was founded?(he was only 4 years out). And he expects us to take the rest of the numbers on his opinion seriously? Is this the best the Bastion of editorial excellence that is the National...

‘Colonial’?? Unless im utterly mistaken Scotland(as part of the UK) was actually fully instrumental in the establishment of the Colonies. The Great British Empire IS Scotland.....and the rest of Britain. Are you now therefore saying Scotlands somehow using its own propaganda against itself...

Its a real pity Marr didnt ask her why the recent(independent) polls have swung from 62% in favour of staying in the EU, to 53% in favour of NOT returning to the EU. On the basis her entire 20 minute flustered ramble about independence was based on being dragged out of the EU, then it would be...

Aviation’s still in a dark place unfortunately Tom, as you well know of course. First into the crisis, last out. The hopes of a good summer season look gloomy too unfortunately. If the rest of Europe was up on its vaccination program then things would be a lot more rosy. We all await with baited...

I dont think childhood dot to dot puzzles were ever a strong point for some of these people. Theyre also building a rod for their own back with pushing for a return to the EU. With a majority against it, theyre going to have to come with an alternative ‘sell’ fairly sharpish. Harper however...

I thought the latest rattling of claymores was a so called mandate based on Brexit....dragged out by our will’ and all that..?? Having gone from a result of 62% however in favour of remaining in the EU, we’re now at the latest independent poll of 53% in favour of NOT returning to the EU. No...

We’re back on the EU being the further promised land of milk and honey are we? Thought we’d debunked all that pages ago.....hey ho. Whilst Scottish supporters may have voted (at the time 62%) to remain in the EU, the appetite has long since changed. In more recent polls, including last month...

If brexits no longer the worry then Nigel, its great news. It proves that people have moved on and we’re getting on with it, which is what I was saying earlier we needed to do. The Indy argument of rushing back to the EU becomes less favourable as time passes. We adapt and overcome rather than...

Its actually the Commissions plan to take control of taxation, but if you want to read it differently so be it, I have no desire for the theory to be put to test. I will however agree re Greece. Its one of the reasons why it had a ‘technical’ govt imposed on it, when Papademos was made PM...
