I fish a prime lower river autumn beat and it hasn't happened for the last 6 years which is more than a cycle. I had 2 licers in September then after that only river fish.
We don't get an autumn run any more, not so long ago you still got licers in the lower river on the last day of the season.

My 1st answer was a bit blunt.
The best beats on the river at this time of year are probably Blair drummond (syndicate) doune castle / Murray estate (syndicate) and keir (fully booked well in advance)
Lanrick castle will produce fish and will have rods available, the bottom beat is better than the top.
Cambusmore are nice beats, 2 and 3 are the best of their beats. Rods through 'managed estates stirling'
The blue banks gets some fish. It's not got too much fly water. So if it going with more than 2 rods fishing it would be more suited to a mixture of fly and spinning. Permits from the safari park.
The council beats 'forth and teith' were still getting the occasional fish in October.
Lanrick, cambusmore and council water at callander all do better with a bit water. Forth and blue banks are further down the system so water doesn't matter as much.
The last clean fish I've caught or even heard about the last few years has been around about mid September. Much the same as most rivers these days.
Good luck if u decide to go.

Hearing that BD had its second fish of the season yesterday-sounds like a fairly promising start for the Teith ...
