I have a Chas Burns #7 9ft 6" LORHIC trout rod. A truly powerful rod but relegated to the reserve bench in favour of my Loop Cross S1 and St Croix Legend Elite.

Looking at Harrison's web page there is hardly a mention of fly fishing but they major on Carp and other coarse species. Hardly surprising as fly fishing is a minority sport/pastime.

I know that the Michael Evans Arrowhead Speycaster rods were on Harrison blanks, but did they also make the C-Scrim versions which came out much later & incorporated more modern materials & designs?

I haven't cast one but was speaking to an angler who had one of these & he said it was a superb rod & a couple of generations on from the standard model.

If these are Harrison blanks then presumably they have embraced new materials & techniques? However they may have been sourced elsewhere.

    Regards, Tyke.

Have not got a Harrison fly rod only the 12ft Harrison 3 piece Specialist rod which I use for bait fishing .
With regards to the composition of the blank, it is a truly great rod to use.
Must be up there with the best.

Bite detection, feel it has everything. I like a rod that has a forgiving top section then as it starts to bend you can feel it start to lock up,amazing feeling on the very few salmon that I took on it this season.

Was lucky to come by one this year as they are not made anymore, that is this model.

    Sewinfly. ............
