    well done. Lovely clean fish. Is that the tag (blue) you get to count the fish you take Leigh?????

    Yea - were allowed 5 fish until the end of may (1 a day) and then a further 20 for the remainder of the season. I try not to kill too many though.

    We try to promote catch / release in our own river. most anglers wont kill a sea-trout , I saw a beautiful 7lb cock trout safely returned last october.

    nae bother with taking a fish Leigh. I kill an odd springer too for the table. Will last a wee while in my house a fish of that size so dont need any more than a couple to eat.

    20 seems a lot for a season but hey ho as you say you dont need to kill 20 even if you catch them

    I think the word promote C & R is better than regulate it by law. The anglers will get the whole picture eventually
