    Default 3D photo.......well nearly

Hope you all like these two crackers. The trout is a 5lb 12oz brownie from Loch Lanlish (hence the user name) and the sea trout is a 21lb'er from Tiera Del Fuego. Hoping to add a huge river Kola springer next season to the trout. The sea trout was caught by a friend.

    Cheers, John

Who did the replicas, are they carvings? They appear very good quality. I have a nice Kola fish I'd like done.

    Hi Sagecaster,

They are carvings and then painted. The quality is superb and I think the price is very reasonable considering the quality. The artist (also ghillie on the Umba) is contactable through FishNorth. The url is : http://www.fishingnorth.com/produkter.htm

How big was your Kola fish ?

    Cheers, John

Thanks for the link. I have seen similar carved fish from Kharlovaka and Litza up to 44lbs which are beautifully done by an artist in Russia.

My fish was from the East Litza and was between 25-28lbs.

    Hi Sagecaster,

Not sure who carved and painted the Kharlovka camp fish but could be the same chap.

Nice fish from a most beautiful river (my favourite, although a little tricky to get on). Had a similar fish off the Kharlovka last year (27lb) with long tail sea lice and fought incredibly hard. Hope 08 brings a 30lb +

    Cheers, John

Agreed a great river and the Litza was my favourite too. The big ones are very difficult to land, I was lucky to land mine, but lost 4 similar sized and one of 30+. One day i hope to be able to afford to go back and get the elusive thirty
