If thats at Orton on the Spey it must have been a world record otter - did you get nylon round its waist and head to tail ?

    Great vid

The otter was spotted in Perthshire....it's one of two pairs i see occasionally in the winter. The one pictured is the male who is a fair old size... but the male of the other pair is huge in comparison!!! He's more like a small dog than an otter!

Great to watch though especially if they bring the kids!

Sat lay on my front in the snow for fifteen minutes with him just 15ft away chomping on fish oblivious to me even being there!

    Great fun!

    Default 4th Year Thesis

Hey John, im currently doing my 4th Year thesis in UCC (University College Cork, Ireland) on Otter distribution and diet in and around Cork city and surrounding urban areas. I was just wondering by any chance could I use this photo or any other photos you might have of an otter? You wouldn't believe the hours I have put in just to catch a bloody photo of one of these buggers over the last two months! No problem if I can't but many thanks if I can.
    All the best
    Shane
