    Default Kelt

Got my first ever salmon today on the tyne, 99% sure it is a kelt like, but pleased I still got one. hoping for at least one fresh fish now in the season and that would do me!

    Hello mate,
Did'nt realise it was your first salmon when I seen you down there today so congratulations pal
As for the weight Nath, as long as you're happy with what you put down in the log book. Google 'salmon nonograph' and check it out from there. Don't know if there's a fixed percentage you can deduct for kelts but I'm sure the lads on here will put you right!
    Again, well done mate
    Regards,
    Chris.

Haha, shows how much I know. it was fairly long but I guess it was also so thin. For some reason I just didn't think any salmon would be that low in weight, even a kelt.
