    Default Cree Springers

Some pictures of a couple of Cree springers I caught earlier in the week.

Both on fly, and both returned unharmed. First one approx 10lb, and the second around 15lb

    Enjoy LL

    Absolute crackers LL. Many congrats.

The Cree lies in an undiscovered corner of Scotland for me but in my formative years of fishing the Cree held some kind of fascination.
Maybe it was the name or its location... I don't know.

What can you tell us about its fishings (without giving away the crown jewels ! ).

    Regards,

    TheFish.

It is a tad early... normally manage the odd fish in March. Main spring run is in April.

The Cree is primarily a spate river... although you'd be surprised what a stealthy approach and small flies can do! The fish will run, even in very low water if they want to.

My beat at Linloskin is pretty underfished in the spring (ie mainly me for an hour every few days!). Given the unreliable spring runs, and the need for some water...doesnt make for good letting!

If anyone is interested in fishing drop me a pm and I'm sure we can arrange something

    Cheers,

    LL
