The water looks very low? Where did the fish come from?

    OTD,

Yes I was fortunate enough to catch this one BUT this beauty was taken on virtually my last cast of the day, it pays to keep going !!

    Springer,
Taken on South Bank about 300 Yards down from the bridge. The fish took about halfway across, almost immediately the fly started fishing.

The water was about 3 or 4 inches above the local gauge.

    Lovely fish

The river is looking low, it has been falling away for nearly 2 weeks now. This should change in the next few days with some persistent light rain coming in......

Lovely fish, and well done !

I just goes to show that 'one last cast' can sometimes pay off. Although in my case 'one last cast' is normally about 2 dozen.

I'm fishing Banchory on Friday/ Saturday next week, and it can't come soon enough.
