    Night time single hander

I've tried/own both the 40+ expert and a barrio slx, the slx is better suited to the rivers I'm fishing, I think you get a shorter head version of the 40+ but I'd still pick the barrio. Back in June/July I was using a maxcatch shs £12 its outstanding I'd recommend one, that's what line is...

    The Dreaded Flying C

Nether it should be, i might have a odd view but you can't run with the hare and hunt with hound, you either accept fish are going to get hurt with the steel hooks your jamming in there mouth or give it up. I think it was Jock Scott ? that showed a method to make the fc,s pull away so imo that...

    Bearings for loop reel

In my experience inside reels there's nothing to be concerned about unless it was some clock work type thing, there straightforward or every reel I've owned has been. If it's drag washers there easily made with sheet cork or carbontex from the net/ebay. Al

    Bearings for loop reel

Yes they are very good but there probably unnecessary, the shaft on a turbine engine would use ceramic bearings spinning at 80/90,000 rpm. There's an abec scale for bearings that's worth googling its regarding the roundness and quality of bearings. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABEC_scale Al

    Bearings for loop reel

Bearings aren't unique to brand, a high quality bearing is just that regardless, take the bearing out measure the outer diameter and the shaft/internal diameter and by a replacement for a fraction of what you'll likely pay there standard sizes, if you are sourcing the bearings you'll be able to...

    The Dreaded Flying C

The I don't you shouldn't brigade at it again ffs ?, why can't they gtf and give people peace to fish. I read earlier in the post about damaged fish with flies, is there going to be a questionnaire about the fly for the boatmen? No that's conveniently over looked.

    The Dreaded Flying C

I've got a bunch of wires somewhere it's the forming/bending tools I don't have, I was always meaning to make one or at least try, a strip of metal with a hole drilled should work, i seen a chap using one on fence wire 30+ years ago, same thing diffrent gauge I think, I'd rather skip any...

    The Dreaded Flying C

I can't find it now? I read a couple of days ago someone stores pre cut fc tails in a box and changes them when necessary, how do you change the rubber without getting a handful of hook? Cheers Al
