    probably a silly question, when using the above line is it tips you would normally use, or poly leaders, or can you use either, I was thinking tips, possibly 15’ on a 14’6” rod. Any advice welcome.

    I’m sure the river lochy salmon come via loch linnhie ( sea loch ), and I think they also have a hatchery project that helps salmon numbers .

    I’m on in June , so will let you know how I get on, I’m sure after a certain date water is always guaranteed from the loch, so no need to worry about rain etc

    All three in Strathyre, the Strathyre Inn, Ben Shein and Munro Hotel years ago all of them had lots of fishermen in them, either fishing locally or stopping off while heading else where.
