There was indeed. A sea liced wild fish of approx 7 lb which was returned. Caught mid morning on a Night Star tube by a German visitor in the Deadmans pool, tail end of the pool.

It was a pleasant, warm afternoon for February. Water rising slightly during the day. One lost on the meadow pool too after a short fight.

What is the appropriate behavior for a man or a woman in the midst of this world, where each person is clinging to his piece of debris? What's the proper salutation between people as they pass each other in this flood?

They are a type of articulated Scandi style fly. Basically a tail and layered wing are tied on a very short tube, then soft collar hackle, then J.C. eyes or cheeks and a conehead. Alternatively the wing can be less layered style and more collie like. Bits of flash here and there too.

The hook is free swinging on a separate piece of cut tubing or a swing tube.

Thanks. They are a Norwegian fly. To be fair I should have shown other colour versions. Some below from guests rods. Any colour of swing tubing may be used too.
