    I was in the GAC the other day and noticed hardy have another new range of single and double handeds called the HBX. A bit expensive for me but would be interested to see if anyone has tried the 13 6 or 14 6?

    I think you would need to some kind of rod professor to tell the difference between some of these rods and if there is a tad different, is it worth the extra £s

    Has anyone actually casted with one yet? One gillie was selling his hbx "demo rod" 14í6" #9 at "sensible" price and as Iím looking a new allrounder, would like to hear if someoneís got any experiences.

    The HBX reels say they are manufactured in the UK but the rods say they are built in the UK. This tells me the blanks are manufactured outside the UK most likely Korea like the majority of their products.

    Well, thatís not a problem. They can produce as high quality at there as in UK, USA or everywhere, if the quality control is well managed. Iím more interested about the action of the rod than where it is made.
