    Does anyone have any photographs of Salmon leaping the Orrin Falls?

    Also looking for the same for the Borgie Falls...

    There is a great picture of a salmon leaping the Orrin Falls in the book Scotland's King of Fish by Derek Mills

    Not sure about the borgie

    The leap up the Orrin Falls looks huge. I know some folk think genetics are not important and stuff like that is guff but surely fish have to be adapted to leap over somethging that huge.

    Highest known recorded jump in Scotland. 12ft vertical (3.7m)!

    That is some leap for them. Why the interest may I ask in such unusual waterfalls?

    Personal interest, plus my local river has a difficult gorge waterfall.
    Its passable under certain conditions, but difficult.

    We hope in time we can improve accessibility.
