    There are a lot of really good beats in that area. If you have good water ( enough of it ) try the Farleyer beats. If not then try Lower Kinnaird or Murthly if you could get a permit.

    Hi Alan, the Tummel is an option, I will pass it on, what would prospects be like late august ?, I have only fished it in April with no success.

    I wouldn’t fish the Tummel in August for salmon or seatrout.
    It’s a river for the spring. Late March, April, Mai and early June.

    Well as a visitor to the area I could get him a good
    Deal on a Perth and District angling club membership
    and if he has the flexibility of picking his days.i could get one of our mentors to guide for him.

    As an update my pal opted for waulkmill and caught his first scottish salmon, thanks John Mc, and while there in the small world that is salmon fishing met another friend of mine on the bank perchance.
