Great pity as he also has a 10/11 butt section.

The Le Cie was a great rod but very fragile.
I had never broken a rod in my life until i got a Le Cie and I broke two middle sections within a year. One went when I wasn't even casting, just standing watching the river and it fell to bits.
Guideline gave me my choice of replacement rod and I took a 15' LPXE which I still have. It has caught a lot of fish for me, great rod.

Maybe a bit too pricey, but there is a complete 14'8 lecie on facebook marketplace just now.

I have one but it has a big chip on it, but he can have it if he wants it for me. I broke my top section on my Le Cie a few years ago & noticed the chip on my middle section, so I replaced both section to be on the safe side.
He'll have to pay for the postage if he's interested though.
PM me if you want it, I kept hold of it just incase my new section went. So I haven't tried it to see if it cast alright or not.

Really?? That's a dreadful, sweeping statement. I'm amazed mine and my other colleagues' rods have survived such fragility! Oh hang on....no I'm not.
Casting coneheads overhead is usually the common denominator
