Seriously, check the grain weight on your rage. The 600 is rated 10/11 but is too short/light to load a 15' rod. I have one and it's great on a 13' 10 weight Wilderness XT. You need the longer 660gr which is great on the 15' rod.

As for tips - take your pick. It'll launch all the heavy sinking polyleaders and lengths of T whatever.

    Hope this helps.
It does help I will aim to give it a go. Itís a 660 10/11

A 15ft rod in the right hands is no more tiresome than a 12ft 6 Scandi... of course it may depend on the rod... and definitely depends on the hands... if you make effective use of the bottom hand and use the top hand as a fulcrum.

My rod of choice is my 15ft with a short/medium belly Spey line... works fine on the Mourne and the Bann... these are bigger rivers without being too big... will work on my local River Roe esp where the river opens up... probably too big where the channel is getting below 40ft wide... bushes being the biggest issue... but great for line control
Some do say twas better to have fished and lost (blanked) than neare to have fished atall.

They are both the same length, 32 ft.

Thanks for that - you are indeed correct (well almost). Been a while since I bought them and had it my head that the 660 was longer.

I just went and measured them both out of curiosity . The 'almost' is that neither were 32 feet. One was 32' 6" and the other 32' 9". Good old Airflo 'quality' control!
