    Default New Year New tackle!

    Hi all,
After having 15 years out I'm getting back into fly fishing and currently have nothing to start with (sold my old gear a good few years back)
I'm looking for recommendations for a decent river set up (Wear, Tyne and Tees), good all around set up that will handle big browns but would still be enjoyable to use for grayling. Rod budget is about 150-200.
    Thanks in advance
    Josh

    It's a touch over 200 but I'd go for a Vision Onki, something like a 9ft 4wt.

I'll second that. I gave my son the #4 8 footer for his birthday last year and it's a little beauty.

Glasgow angling center have the vision tane half price for 150 at the moment, never used one but vision dont tend to release gear if its not good.

    Default Orvis

Orvis Clearwater on offer at Uttings (new model out soon). I've had the 10' 4 weight for about 5 years and it's a cracking rod. If I wanted a 9'4 weight I wouldn't hesitate but I already have greys xf2 in this category.

    Hope this helps
