And both Winchester and Wiltshire start with a W, and if you write one of them twice like you have you get Winchester Winchester Wiltshire. Take the first 3 letters and you get WWW, which signifies the internet where they met up for the first time. On later fishing trips they would have had to drive and probably drink a Koka Kola!! Now where do Opus Dei fit into this little conspiracy...........

Compy is or was definitely a product of England. Nowhere else in the world produces the authentic, highly intelligent and educated eccentric quite like England does. I have guided or Ghillied a few such like from time to time, usually an endlessly entertaining and interesting experience.

It was good while it lasted, very good. I suppose its a bit like a prophet is never accepted or appreciated in his homeland.

What is the appropriate behavior for a man or a woman in the midst of this world, where each person is clinging to his piece of debris? What's the proper salutation between people as they pass each other in this flood?

    Jings, what a confusing thread.

Come Tam, spill the beans, WTF 'boot the pix?

As a punk I disliked the long haired hippies with their w*nk music, but one album that stands out from that time was by some Ian Hunter chappie, rubbish but great name:

I really hope the joker in the pub who thought of this as a way to cheer up the grieving OP is satisfied, love in jokes.

When it comes to worrying about the return of Compy I think of the words of Conor Cruise O'Brien ( a slightly left wing Irish Minister for Posts and Telegraphs , (when there was such a department)) who said of Charles Haughey that if he was found dead at midnight at a cross roads with a stake through his heart he would always carry a clove of garlic just in case.
