    Nice fish mate well done, 2 more than i've caught recently, but with the heavy rain forecast tonight/tomorrow at teviothead, hopefully that'll change come Saturday!!.

    Were you buying cheap Chinese copies, Castor???

    Had both 1 and 2's years ago. They both landed many, many fish and the only maintenance was a bit of grease on the inside.

    I really regret getting rid of them (and the JW Young reels and copies there of).

    Good, honest fly reels without plastic pawls to be seen.

    His tail was grand if u look closely it got a little gadget around the tail I made to carry fish

    My old Marquis no 2 is 30 plus years old and still going strong. Caught a 12lb salmon Monday past , at least 100yrd run, big water on the lower Tay. Stood up to the task no bother. It has a brass reel seat. Are there different types?
