I've no idea if it would be easy, but Hardys themselves would be the best people to contact. It used to be easyish to do on other rods I've had in the past, cut the cork off, strip it back to the blank then glue in a socket for an extension handle, but I've not done one for a long time....

Any use? I believe it is Hardy. Screw will be 3/8B.S.F. Also threaded for rubber button. Freebie if it suits. Pm. me.

There is another way which I have done in the past, but you need to be reasonably practical.
Take back the cork at the butt to reveal the end of the blank.
Get an old rod blank with a similar taper. Cut out a section which will make the length of handle you want plus a spigot of about 4in.(allow surplus)
Adjust and sand the spigot to be a good fit up the blank.
Glue corks onto the extension then sand to the shape and style of handle that suits you.

That is a very generous offer as they usually go for around 30 on Ebay
