A wee bit better catch returns for the tweed yesterday it would be better if the
upper beats were contributing bt it desperately needs a lift in water to get things going
bt that don't look as if it's going to happen anytime soon

I'm up in Kelso now and saw 3 being caught as I watched this morning and this afternoon. They're not boating the main pools as they're fishing right up in the throat of the run below the cauld out of lower floors and again right under the road bridge.
Had a tour of the beats between Melrose and Kelso today. They're picking away at them and the pools are full of fish. They're just flopping about and being completely dis-interested.
A good 4'er is whats required to give the fish a kick up the ass..Stunning Autumnal scenery up the Tweed valley though.Golds,coppers,reds,bronzes.Beautiful!!

Was in Kelso this morn , Simon.
If I'd known you were there we could finally have met up.

    Another time.

    Next time maybe.
Me and the GF went into Tweedside Tackle for a nosey. We came out and went for a walk down to the road bridge.
She said I'll meet you down there and she went back to Tweedside Tackle.
20 mins later she met me on the bridge.Got you a pressy for your November trip she said and she handed over a bag. When I looked in there were 5 Willie Gunn feeler tubes and 5 Flamethrower type feelers tubes too.
I mean come on lads.Thats not bad for a girl that knows FA about Salmon fishing.Advice from the shop too probably but its not a bad effort..

You may not want to practice C&R there Simon; you may want to keep that one!
