Am I mistaken, or.....
isn't there any salmon fishing possible Saturday October 24th in Scotland? Will be visiting our son in Glasgow and we thought that this time we would try to fit in a day of salmon angling. Searched the FishPal website but no result for the aforementioned date came up. I realise that I should have tried to book sooner but that doesn't help now. Guess I have to settle for ending my salmon season here in Scandinavia.

A lot of Scottish rivers have closed by then but quite a few are still open. I've just done a search on Fishpal and it turned up quite a lot of options for that week/day, so I think you must be mistaken.

Good. There seem to be quite a few possibilities reasonably close to Glasgow. Hope you have a successful day.
