it does make you wonder"i took the wife out twice trout fishing down the local stillwater, seen a few fish starting to feed i suspected buzzers(usual tell tale signs, adults on windscreen, shucks getting washed up on shore and the rise form),rigged up a washing line with PTN and Dawl Bach with foam suspender on the point 20mins nothing, altering angle, static, slow and faster retrieves still nothing, nearly an hour by now, thinking of making changes!dam!! fly box in car, told the wife to hold the rod for a minute till i went back, turned my back walked a few steps and the wife said shes got 1,couldnt believe it,i netted it for her after coaching her in playing it she said can i have another go,i casted it for her and within seconds she had another before i could even explain to her how to detect a take and how to strike she was playing her 2nd,she finished with 3 gave me the rod back, and believe it or not for the duraition left on the ticket (2hrs) i caught NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
scared to take her for salmon
Id rather have something I don't need than need something I haven't got!!

Get used to it... The missus has beat me now 2 years in a row for the best fish caught. (she even managed the trophy for the biggest fish off our local river last year!!)
