    Default Gallery North Esk

    Me and three mates have a day on the North Esk,Gallery beat in early March !! None of us fished it before !! Any info on flies etc etc would be appreciated from anybody in the know!! Neil Anderson of Angus Angling will meet us there in the morning but a heads up before we get there would be helpful!! Cheers !!

    Thanks Vette !! A good help !! I'm sure we'll be able to rely on Neil on the day ! Fished Pert a couple of times so have a fair idea what to expect !! Getting the "fever" at the thought of fishing a new beat ! Can't wait ! Do you know what height the gauge has to be at before it's time to start chucking cutlery ??

    any idea what the height was ?? Just so as we can watch things beforehand!!

    Don't forget, the Fishpal website shows the height above low water, not what is on the gauge. Best phone Neil before you set off to see if he will let you throw steel (as he puts it)

    If you can, get down to the Railway pool early..
    Also like the main Gallery and Ministers pools. You need to cast 6" from the opposite bank and have the fly fishing straight away!! The bit where there is a bit of erosion on the other bank is a hotspot but Niel will keep you right.... Good guy..
