    Default River Wear 2014

Good luck to all that fish the Wear this season, hopefully the conditions will be better than last year.
I was hoping to wet a line today with the river fining down nicely yesterday, but that rain in the afternoon has lifted it yet again.
I will be out on Monday in search of an early fish if the conditions are OK.
With all the water this winter most of the Kelts should have made it back to sea already.

Tight lines and hope you get a few.....Dave.
    This is my fishing rod!.
There are many like it but this one is mine.
    Without me,my rod is useless!.

    Default Fly holder

After starting to tie flies again I've been looking out for a fly holder. I spotted these in the Sunderland store. Mounted them onto a piece of wood and do the job.

Is the Newcastle one Alan Pardew with a rope around his neck??
If he doesn,t hang himself,i bet theres plenty of supporters ready to hang him from the Tyne bridge.

    Default Finally!

A break in the weather forcast for next week.
Little or no rain and the temp is forcast up to 8c with light winds.
Hopefully theres a fish or two in the river.
3 fish through the counter in January, but with all the water in the last 6 weeks who knows how many went through????.
Might get a cast on Monday or Tuesday when this spate drops..
