Showing 1.418m now, back to where it was before 0m appeared, not a reliable figure for sure, but well over spinning height.

River is doing its best to be a mess, storm Dennis will no doubt create mayhem, not so much the wind, but 3 days of heavy rain will push it right up, plus the prospect of another storm coming next weekend, might well get very big!!!!
    Not exactly inspiring!

Latest level is 1.49m.....guess it's just going to get higher over today and tomorrow.
Rods will need to dig out their scuba gear next week!

A boat might be a better option,. and that's just to get near the rivers course!!!!!!!

Going to need an Ark at this rate, another week likely to be unfishable coming up!!! The water is now clear, or clearing, really good Devon fishing conditions, just not nice trying to gain access to some of the more likely water, some of the pools are just a boiling mess, no fish is going to hold in those, but others are nice, smooth water, that's where to look, just the slight issue of wading through 100,s of metres of flooded meadows, not an appetising prospect!!!!!

Anything been spotted yet? Trying to decide if a trip down this weekend would be worthwhile.

Think I'll leave it to the end of next week and hopefully the river will have dropped a bit.........it will still be a slog though!
Best of luck to anyone venturing out....

Heard of a Salmon caught from just above the Royalty over the weekend, by a coarse angler. Reportedly 4 1/2 lb and fresh.
A bit early for Grilse, suspect it could have been a sea trout but I'm getting info second hand.

Sounds unusually small, might well have been a well mended kelt, they do adopt their springer look before returning to sea!!!!!!!!
