Thread: River Liddle

    Default River Liddle

I am a member of a club with a small amount of water on the Liddle at Penton Bridge.

I am holidaying in the Lakes at the begining of August, can anyone advise on the prospects for this water at that time?

As I will be in the NW Lakes for a week or so, can anyone suggest any alternatives?

    Johnny

The Liddle should be ok when you go. Had two sea trout last week to 4lb. It's good with water on and runs off quick. With the rain it will be spot on. Fly & spin works well. Good luck

    Default Lucky you !

Could be spot on J !
The latest big flood today may (or not!) make the already good stocks of fish go downstream before migrating upstream again. Net result may be a well populated Liddle. The sea trout have been there this year, and given this water the grilse/salmon will be too, as they won't have been held up in the danger zones nearer the sea!
Good luck and let us know how it goes!
