    Default EA Rod Licences

In the merry world of online retail is anyone else exasperated at the EA rod licence site?

    My main issues are:-

Why can't a year to year licence be purchased to run from the date of purchase as opposed to the Tax Year? As a fisher based in North Britain I buy day licences as I don't know how many times I am going to fish in England but if I could buy a Full season licence on my first trip of the season I would. No point in doing so when it runs out in March........

Secondly-the gender question. Is filling out "Mr" in the tick box not sufficient enough of a clue?

Thirdly-my ethnic background. What has that got to do with anything unless some monkey wasting my tax bill is doing another diversity study?

Fourth-why can't we pay by bloody PayPal like most other civlised websites?

Fifth-why is the server so under-gunned for the 1st April it crashes when everyone does try to buy a licence.

They are expensive enough and frankly I expect a better service and not a 15 minute endurance test!

    Excellent,

Exactly what everybody else probably thinks.

Started with nothing and still have most of it left

I also get mine from there.
They just scan the bar code on my old license, saves filling in the application form every year.

I have a direct debit set up so don't even have to remeber to get it. Ok for me but not very good for the visiting angler or for someone who only fishes on a handful of days per year.

Not had any problem buying online last couple of years, not sure I want a govt agency to use dodgy paypal, ethnic data useful for analysis and targeting campaigns to widen interest in fishing........ Not worth the moan ZH IMHO, car tax works well too!, tight lines, JT
