Rainbows On THE TAY
There has been a large escape of rainbows from Loch TAY.
Rainbows very sliver in colour have been seen and caught 4lb-12lb in size.
SEEMINGLY it's not just a couple of hundred but thousands
With a rise in water they will be scattered throughout the tay system.

Ye better get them out quick before they start eating the Salmon fry. Doubt they will last the season though. Allys shrimp is a cracker for fresh escapees
They should be pretty easy to catch. Knock em on the head instead of the salmon!

Great point DB!!! It is the bane of amny a Tay fisher / Loch fishers life to see the cages.
I have caught dozens of the buggers in the river / loch up to about 6lbs ish. Mind one year a boat came in and they couldnt even stand on the boards bar standing on fish. they actually ended up chapping them and throwing them over the sides. Side issue is that a 13g rap doesnt last too long getting pumped by greedy bows.
I agree also they must have a right good feed. this lot escaped when spawning was going on so it were not bad enough on the upper Tay we have a multitude of useless, alien fish running amok among the eggs!"!!!!!
Anybody know if the owner of the farm has officially reported an escape to Marine Scotland? You do not need to have a PhD to be a bad salmon fisherman but it helps.

Tay balliff's know,i phoned today,They said they were concentrated to the upper regions, but feared a rise would distribute them throughout the Tay.
There has been fish mistaken as Salmon, 12lbr's reported.
If any body catches, kill, gut and report what they have been feeding on,db
