I purchased one last season and find it excellent they are made up onsite by the guys at fishingmad so can be taylormade to suit the individual I found my previous wading staff way too short whereas the bison one piece carbon shaft is long enough to lean into in strong currents and does not come apart when most needed I also specified the heaviest leading since I regularly fish the Tay and didn,t want one which constantly got swept away, in this respect it is also more than adequate, exceptional value when you consider a heavy and lightweight version could be purchased for around the same price as most other staffs. Comes with a screw in spike and push on rubber button I use the button but the only drawback is it has to be glued on or it will be easily lost if jammed between stones or stuck in mud. Could get around it if an old style rod button could be found. Hope this is helpful.
