    Default Erne Ranger

Got a copy of E.J.Malone's Irish Trout and Salmon Flies and loved the look of this pattern. First attempt at a traditional pattern and not a patch on the others in this thread, but didn't know where else to post it so there you go.

Unfortunately my white tipped turkey has disappeared (daughter been in at my stuff again to make a Harry Potter wand!) so used black, and left the jc off as preferred it without, otherwise as specified.

    As usual all comments appreciated.

Well done, unfortunately the white tip is the key visual feature of the pattern so it loses something.

Thanks Dave, and I agree re white tip, need to get some more as what I had is now at daughter's school stuck to a wooden spoon . Still, she's happy with her wand!

Wholesale 10-100pcs pretty precious wild turkey feather 10-12 inch / 25-30 cm | eBay

This is very good stuff for the money - at least what got was - they also do very cheap amherst tail amongst other stuff.
