    Default Your weapons of choice for the weekend ?


    Thats my fly selection for the weekend all bought and not tied myself. Just to see what everyone else is going armed with. Think ill go with a cascade snaelda to start and go from there.

    I'm sure they are all just fine for a taking salmon if you have confidence in them (and put them in front of a taking salmon !).

    Theres a mix of ally and copper tubes of 2 sizes so should have one to suit the conditions with the correct poly leader. Fishing a tidal beat and high tides 8am so should be a decent ammount of depth and flow.

    They are a similar sort of thing to those big orange tadpoles in my box but the heavy brass tubes make them tricky to turn over when they are wet.

    Tay tomorrow. Water should be clear, probably about 2ft above summer level......fast intermediate or sink 2/3 head and a fast poly with this flee of choice.

    Aye thats the tricky bit. It all sounds great in theory, just pop it in front of the salmons nose and let him grab it lol. Still waiting on the first fish coming out of the river so hopefully this better weather after a spate last week will bring a few into the system that have been sitting off the coast getting picked off by the netsmen.
