    Default New Line Required

Looking to replace my rio chucker #8
I have been using this line on both my 12' Hardy demon and also on my 11' 8/9 shakey oracle.
Any recommendations for a line that will double up and work well on both these rods (yes I know I'm a bit of a skinflint, less lines and reels to carry about)

    Thanks for any replies.

I don't have experience of that many lines but if that shakes is double hand rated then I would recommend you take a look at the Barrio ISS in #8/9. It has an integrated running line and works well with 10ft Polyleaders. The switch lines are supposed to be good too.

The rio ssvt will cover both rods and all depths.

So I have now you mention it John, was thinking for some reason it was a longer scandi line on a 13'9 but it was on your 12'9 reaction wasn't it?
    Nice line as I remember.
    Thanks

The Barrio switch lines are good, I use one with my Shaky Oracle switch.

I bought the Gaelforce multi tip don't know if that's an option for you , I have only used it once on my 13' rod and it seems ok.

Hi Bobby I have an 11ft #8/9 Lpxe on which I use an 420gr Airflo Rage Compact this doubled up with 10ft polyleaders is ample from Spring to low water long fine leader Summer fishing.During summer I often use a 10ft clear inter poly with a 10ft tapered leader with tiny #18 micro treble it lays it down like thistle down.In spring 10ft Super fast sink tip and coneheads fly on it. If its copper or Brass bodied stuff I put on a Rage Compact Skagit. These lines are a treat to cast and they will fly.
    Regards Simon
