Default Join me on the Dee, July & August 2009

Guys,

I will be hosting two weeks at Little Blackhall & Inchmarlo commencing 6th July and 17th August 2009.

We will have both banks and also the very comfortable accommodation in the Lodge at Little Blackhall. I will be joined for the week by my good friend and AAPGAI Master Instructor, Glyn Freeman.

I have put together 3 day packages that includes fishing, twin room accommodation, full board (excluding alcohol) and tuition in all styles of Spey casting and salmon fishing. The ratio of 3 clients to 1 instructor will ensure you get the best out of your time with us. July/August last year proved to be a very decent month for the Dee and with the grilse run we could be in for a lot of fun Fishing will be both wading and also from the bank and much of the beat can be fished in your carpet slippers

You can check out the details of the fishing and accommodation here and here. The fishing extends to mile of double bank set in some of the nicest scenery I have ever seen and the accommodation is only 200yds from the river, all in all a most beautiful setting. The standard of accommodation is very high indeed, the Lodge is set in the most wonderful manicured gardens.

The all-inclusive price for 3 days is £495 and is available to forum members on a first come first served basis. Feel free to contact me for further details

Here are a few pictures from last year.

Alan what a great idea to bring a prime time course to Deeside and at such a versatile setting with superb amenities.Having visited the beat many times I can say your coupon has come up to get this at such a prime time. How did you pull this off??

If anyone is pondering this opportunity then I can completely recommend this, as it's an outstanding beat to fish with classic Dee flyfishing pools, that usually have good numbers of fish in August, and I really mean good. The last 2 years have seen very good numbers of fish running in August and we can safely say that the start of the back end run begins to really build up with Grilse in good numbers heading swiftly upriver off each tide. It is a good opportunity for people to catch their first, second and third salmon in a day if they can get up early and catch good upstream movement at dawn.Spanking silver sea liced fish in good numbers are there and given a wee bit of water you could have a bonanza.

Into Banchory and there are a few good pubs and restaurants etc and for the competitive type the British Legion is popular for a game of snooker.Perhaps an opportunity to take the Instructors on where the losers have to cook the breakfast. Some of the members here are regular visitors to Banchory so they could mention some of the attractions for the angler

if i had £500 to spare i know for a fact that is what id do with it.
just look at that bit of water, id love to fish a place like that and stay over for 3 days.
£495 doesnt sound like alot of money for everything you get in the deal right enough!

Looks like a fantastic piece of water and if my work commitments allow I would love to spend a few days there with you but looking that far into the future in the aircraft industry is very difficult.
And if its first come first served I think others on the forum will be there before me.I think 3 days fishing and accommodation for £495 on water of that quality is a very reasonable price coupled with tuition and its a bargain. So any if there are places left nearer the time and I can wangle some time off count me in.

A £200 deposit secures your place, the balance will be payable before the end of June. The week is split Mon-Wed and Thu-Sat, just choose which 3 days suit you best.

If you need any additional info give me a ring for a chat, you will find my contact details on my website linked below
