Default Butcher 5/0

This is the Kelson version tied for a friend of mine on an original hook.
The head is a tad bigger than I would have liked - but the Butcher is notorious for this becuase of the shear quantity of wing material - amplified of course by the gossamer thread and herl.

It must be tough to keep heads down in size with such complicated winging on a fly.

Especially with herl over the wing base at the head.

A super fly despite your doubts on its head size.
