Have some Sellers no brains on ebay
Just got a book I bought on ebay via the letter box, Royal Mail and An Post,
grand it arrived, thanks , but it was just put straight into a normal brown
envelope , no wrapping , no bubble wrap, nothing, luckily it was not
damaged much, the corners at the bottom are a bit crushed. I see I paid
£4.99 for postage, the stamp on the bare envelope is £3.10, was there no
room in the PP £4.99 for a wee bit of bubble wrap . I feel I should make
comment on my feedback , am I expecting too much from ebay sellers?.

At least you have it right BJN , for the sake of a bit of wrapping the item would be protected a lot better , costing little , even a few sheets of newspaper , these items sent via the mail get lumped in with tonnes of other items on top of them ,
then I wonder why should I bother educating these people?.

AFAIK You are allowed to charge for post, packaging handling and delivery to the shipping company, some sellers also include the fees for Ebay and Paypal in with the postage.
But a bit of bubble wrap would not go amiss

Ebay make it clear the it's P&P, not just postage but if there is no packaging except for the envelope then you can leave appropriate feedback and DSR's. If your not sure how to proceed you can always read the Ebay Tutorial on feedback, which advises that you contact the seller first.
If you consider the item to be damaged in any way, you could file for SNAD.

Dear salmon shrimp, its not the cost of the P&P , if a few bob more were charged I really would not mind , its their carelessness , its their disregard for their product , my purchase , their reputation, the lack of thoughtfulness on their part, the sheer ignorance of it.
As I say a few sheets of old newspaper with a lick of sellotape to keep the newspaper down and then slip it into an envelope , not great, but at least some effort towards protecting the item from the rough and tumble of the Royal Mail and An Post mail sorting and delivery systems.
Its perhaps something the ebay platform administrators should be advising their sellers to do,

Just sold four books on Ebay, but Ebay states free P&P if you start at 99p. My books sold for about 28.00. The last thing i did was buble wrap when it cost me 2.70 a book to send when tried to be fair and start at 99p. How far can you go when it costs the seller. BJA is the best seller i have dealt with, but he can price for selling, and very fair as well!!!!!
